Shooting Victim Still in Critical Condition
A Harbor City woman who apparently was shot by an intruder Thursday morning while her husband was at work remains on a life support system in critical condition at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, hospital and police officials said.
Kyoko Johnson, 50, was discovered by her daughter at 6:30 a.m. in their home on the 23700 block of Oakheath Place, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Martin Minue said. The house appeared as if it had been broken into, he said.
“We don’t know if anything was taken,” Minue said. Police have not made any arrests and are still investigating the shooting.
