MEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : UC San Diego Rallies to Beat Christ College Irvine
Tim Rapp scored 24 points to lead UC San Diego to a 60-56 victory over Christ College Irvine in a nonconference men’s basketball game Saturday at Christ College.
San Diego (1-0), which has been ranked as high as No. 4 in NCAA Division III preseason rankings, started slowly and shot only 22% in the first half as Christ College took a 29-22 lead.
Mike Oden led Christ College with 11 points and Aaron Clasen added nine.
In another nonconference men’s basketball:
Point Loma Nazarene 107, Pacific Christian 66--Mike Vincent scored 20 points for Pacific Christian, but the Royals (6-1) were overwhelmed by host Point Loma Nazarene, which led, 56-27, at the half.
