Medfly Coverage

Now that the 16-month-long Medfly war is supposedly over (“Medfly War Over, a New Battle Looms,” Nov. 9), I must commend the Los Angeles Times and its reporters Eric Lichtblau and Ashley Dunn for their thorough and objective coverage. Thanks for the superb journalism and keeping the public informed.

Hats off to Lichtblau for the investigative reporting he did on the “Kangaroo Rat” (“Malathion Foes Smell a Rat”) story. I hope the government of California will never again consider a rodent more important than its people!
