SIMI VALLEY : Man Arrested in Rape of Relative
A 27-year-old Simi Valley man was arrested on suspicion of raping his sister-in-law while he was staying with her in her condominium, police said Sunday.
Kenneth Kirk was being held in the Ventura County Jail on $50,000 bail, a jail spokesman said.
A neighbor in the condominium complex at the north end of Erringer Road called police on Saturday about 5 a.m. after she heard what sounded like a woman calling for help, said Simi Valley Police Sgt. Gordon Weeks.
When police arrived at the complex, the alleged victim was standing outside, Weeks said. She told them that her brother-in-law had raped her, and officers arrested Kirk, who was still inside the condominium, Weeks said.
