EL TORO : Another Elementary School in the Works
Saddleback Valley Unified School District officials broke ground Wednesday on a $6.6-million elementary school scheduled to open in September.
The unnamed school, at Pittsford and Aliso Park drives, will house 700 of the pupils who attend De Portola and Cordillera elementary schools.
A name for the school will be chosen by the Board of Education.
Construction of another school, Cielo Vista Elementary in Rancho Santa Margarita, is almost completed, said Mary Lou Smith, the district’s facilities planner. That school is scheduled to open in January.
