Senior guard Beau Reid made a three-point basket with two seconds remaining Wednesday night as Nebraska upset No. 5 Michigan State, 71-69, at Lincoln, Neb.

Reid, who scored only eight points, thought his 23-foot game-winning shot was short when he launched it.

“There was no doubt in my mind what I wanted to do when I got it,” he said. “I knew it was a long way out.”
