The Minnesota Twins, in search of a reliever, acquired Steve Bedrosian from the San Francisco Giants for minor league pitcher Johnny Ard and a player to be named later.

On Monday, the Braves signed third baseman Terry Pendleton to a four-year deal for $10.2 million.

Today they added more sock with Bream, 30, who batted .270 with 15 homers and 67 RBIs for the NL East champion Pirates last season. In seven big-league seasons, Bream has a .263 average with 60 home runs and 307 RBIs.

Stubbs, 30, hit .261 with 71 RBIs and 19 stolen bases for the Astros in the best of his big-league seasons, all spent in the National League.

Milwaukee Manager Tom Trebelhorn said Stubbs, a first baseman for most of his career, will play right field for Milwaukee.
