In a lifetime of work as a special librarian, I have not seen as apt a definition as yours as to what a library is: “A library is an ongoing learning laboratory. . . .” Audiovisuals have had their place in the modern library for quite some time and computers have become a prestige symbol in some respects but books continue to hold their own. Your editorial synchronizes them all beautifully!
