RINCON BEACH : Dental Charts Help Identify Man’s Body
- Share via
Dental records were used by the Ventura County coroner’s office to identify a body found on Rincon Beach south of Carpinteria.
The identification through dental charts was necessary because the body of Frank Rojas, 66, of Oxnard had been in the water for several days, said Jim Wingate, a coroner’s office spokesman.
The body was found on the beach among rocks at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. The cause of death is still under investigation. A missing-person report had been filed with the Oxnard Police Department several days ago by members of the Rojas family.
