Joe Sakic scored with 55 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Quebec Nordiques a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night at Vancouver.

Sakic came back to score the winning goal after he was inadvertently cut on the face by the stick of teammate Bryan Fogarty in the third period.

Fogarty and Steven Finn scored for Quebec in the second period to give the Nordiques a 2-1 lead, but Steve Bozek’s goal for Vancouver in the third period sent the game into overtime.
