NEW YORK — Former gymnastics star Cathy Rigby says making her Broadway debut in “Peter Pan” is like old times.
“This is like the Olympics of theater,” Rigby said in an interview Tuesday. “You have all those same feelings of excitement.”
Rigby, who won a silver medal at the World Gymnastics Championships in 1970, took up acting and singing after retiring from competition.
The 36-year-old mother of four has been on the road for a year in the revival of the musical about the boy who refuses to grow up. The show opens on Broadway on Thursday.
