A Generous Helping to the Homeless

For the past two years, Club Culinaire, a Los Angeles-based club founded by French chefs, bakers, restaurateurs and purveyors, has fed hundreds a turkey dinner with all the trimmings at the Weingart Center, a 600-bed transitional housing, health and social services center in downtown Los Angeles.

The chefs, are also launching a course for Weingart Center residents who want to develop cooking skills.

Some of the French chefs cooking the holiday meal are, from left: Camille Crochet of Moustache Cafe, Pierre Pelech of Pierre’s Los Feliz Inn, Claude Alrivy of Chardonnay Restaurant, Bernadette Millet of La Cuisine de Bernadette and Jean Jacques Bouche of Pacific Dining Car.
