Willie Gets Reprieve: Willie Nelson got a small break from the Internal Revenue Service. A public auction of the country singer’s holdings in Austin, Tex., had been scheduled for Thursday but it has been put off while collection officers compile a list of Nelson’s holdings. Once the accounting is finished--probably around Jan. 1--an auction will be scheduled. The IRS seized Nelson’s properties last month to ensure payment of $16.7 million in back taxes, penalties and interest due.
