Share

A former postal official in Ventura will be sworn in today as the new postmaster for the Thousand Oaks main post office, a U.S. Postal Service spokesman said.

Gerald Klein, a 28-year Postal Service veteran, will leave his job as director of field operations in Santa Barbara to take over the post vacated by Russell Jacobson. Klein was in charge of postal managers in the Santa Barbara area.

Klein, 51, served as postmaster in Sun Valley for two years before moving to Ventura, where he worked as a postmaster for five years until 1988.
