Fresh Air
Big, white billowy clouds, patches of royal blue sky, clean cold air. Ah, it must be a dream.
I am a native Southern Californian, which is probably why I come alive in this cool weather. I’ve had it to here with 75-degree, smoggy days on Thanksgiving and Christmas. This cold, blustery blast from the north lends itself well to the Christmas spirit.
I actually bought a tree last week and spent money I didn’t have on gifts I didn’t need.
I dug out my down jacket and wool sweater and walked on the beach at dawn.
I inhaled as much of that cold, clean air as my lungs would allow.
What a treat. Santa lives!
