An Agua Dulce businessman, formerly a police officer and lawyer in England, has been listed on the Queen Elizabeth II’s New Year’s Honours List as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, the British Consulate-General reported Tuesday.
Edward Stanley (Ted) Jones received the award, the most widely distributed British honorary order, for a lifetime of commitment ranging from his current post as chairman of the Los Angeles chapter of the British American Chamber of Commerce to his work with a physical rehabilitation organization.
Jones, 54, is a director of administration for Sunkist Growers Inc. at the company’s Sherman Oaks headquarters. Before becoming chairman of the chamber of commerce he served as its president for two years.
