OXNARD : 60-Year-Old Woman Hurt in Crash Dies
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed today on a 60-year-old Oxnard woman who died from injuries suffered when her car ran into a tractor-trailer last week, authorities said.
Laura MacDonald was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, Ventura County Deputy Coroner Craig Stevens said. She had been in an intensive-care unit with massive head and chest injuries after undergoing surgery following the accident, Stevens said.
MacDonald was driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Wooley Road in Oxnard at 5:57 p.m. Friday when her car ran into a tractor-trailer at Oxnard Boulevard, police said. The truck driver, Fred Mullins, 26, of Washington state, was not injured.
