Robber Shoots Into Supermarket Ceiling
A man armed with a rifle demanded cash and fired two warning shots into the ceiling of a Glendale supermarket during a robbery Monday morning, police said.
No one was injured in the holdup, which occurred at 7:46 a.m. at the Albertson’s store at 331 N. Glendale Ave., Glendale Police Sgt. Robert Mac Leod said.
The robber took an undetermined amount of money from cashiers, then fled in a white late-model car, possibly a Camaro or Firebird, Mac Leod said. No arrest had been made by Monday evening.
