LOCAL : 7 Firefighters Hurt During Fire
A two-story office building in Huntington Park was destroyed by fire early today and seven firefighters were injured, one critically, when the building’s facade collapsed on them, authorities said.
The fire in the building at Randolph and State streets was reported at 3:20 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Ed Gandara said. Twenty-four companies of firefighters were sent to the three-alarm blaze.
“The facade came down as (firefighters) were starting to make an interior attack on the fire,” Gandara said.
