VENTURA : Realtor to Head Planning Panel
The Ventura Planning Commission has elected commissioner Clark Owens to serve as chairman of the seven-member panel for the next year.
Owens, a realtor, has been on the commission since 1987.
Tim Downey, a commissioner since 1989, was named vice chairman.
Downey is vice president of VenVirotek, a Ventura company that specializes in the recycling of oil-field wastes.
The commission also elected members Gary Nasalroad, Neil Moyer and Downey to serve on the Modification Committee, a three-member group that reviews requests by businesses and homeowners for changes in zoning ordinances.
Commissioner Mary Laing Pease was chosen to serve on the city’s Architectural Review Board.
