Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa computer products company posted net earnings of $1.9 million for the second quarter of fiscal 1991 ended Dec. 30. Last year, the company recorded net income of $32,000 for the second quarter. Revenue was up 34%, to $38.6 million from $28.7 million. Net income for the first half totaled $3.3 million, contrasted with $208,000 for the first six months last year. Revenue rose 26%, to $72.7 million from $57.5 million. Robert N. Stephens, president and chief executive, said the higher net income was due to increased revenue, lower operating expenses and a lower tax rate.
