TONIGHT

Teena Marie (Ventura Theatre, 26 Chestnut St., Ventura, 648-1888) She’s been singing since she was 8, she’s gorgeous, she has a ring in her nose, and she has two first names--so tape “The Simpsons.”

Spencer the Gardener (Charlie’s Seaside Cafe & Restaurant, 362 California Street Mall, Ventura, 648-6688) The only Ventura appearance this month by the singing pop-rock landscaper with the happening horn section. It’s going to be very crowded.

Amasa (Club Soda, 317 E. Main St., Ventura, 652-0100) It’s hard-rock night at the club up the stairs. Three bucks to get in, three bucks for a beer and a zillion bucks for drunk driving. Act accordingly.

The Tearaways (Alex’s Cantina) This is the alter ego of Pat & Fin (and no Greg) featuring plenty of original hook-filled power pop.

TUESDAY

Maelstrom (Charlie’s) Hard-edged original rock on the beach.

Charlie Musselwhite (Felix’s Cantina, 525 State St ., Santa Barbara, 962-1432) Yup, it’s him again, except it’s Blue Tuesday, 30 miles north.

Pat, Fin & Greg (The Ketch, 514 State St., Santa Barbara, 564-3231) Pop rock comes to the meet market.

WEDNESDAY

Art Carnage (Charlie’s) Three guys from Oxnard that know a lot of ‘60s songs.
