Eichelberger Among 72 Pro Golfers in Newport Pro-Am
Four-time PGA Tour winner Dave Eichelberger and tour winners Mark Pfeil and Sam Randolph will be among 72 professional golfers in the field when the 17th Newport Pro-Am golf tournament begins today at the Newport Beach Country Club.
The 36-hole tournament, which also includes a number of other players with tour experience and players from the Golden State and Ben Hogan tours, continues through Saturday. The pros will be paired with local amateurs in the event, which raises money for the Hoag Hospital Foundation.
Tee times begin at 7:05 a.m. both days, and admission for spectators is free.
