Pasadena : Leash Law Amendment
Dog owners will soon be able to train their dogs without keeping them on leashes under an amendment to the city’s dog leash law approved last week by the City Directors.
If approved on second reading Feb. 5, the amendment will take effect in early March.
Current law requires that dogs be on leashes whenever they are outdoors. The amendment was proposed by City Director Rick Cole after dog owner Larry Faulkner was cited for failing to keep his dog on a leash while training the animal at a city park.
