CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE : Grant Awarded for Oil Research
- Share via
Edward Rosenberg, a Cal State Northridge professor, has been awarded a $55,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to continue his research into a cheaper method for refining petroleum.
In his work, Rosenberg is exploring how the cost of petroleum can be lowered by reducing temperatures in the refining process, eventually producing a cleaner-burning fuel.
The grant, Rosenberg’s third on this subject, is based on the scientific-technical merit of research conducted over a three-year period.
Rosenberg earned a doctorate in organic chemistry at Cornell University.
