THOUSAND OAKS : Man Sentenced in Simi Bank Robbery
A Thousand Oaks man convicted of robbing two banks last year, including one in Ventura County, was sentenced Monday to five years in federal prison.
Jeffrey Scott Taylor, 31, was arrested on Sept. 30 by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies after a high speed chase that began in Westlake Village and ended in Woodland Hills.
Taylor, who was originally indicted on charges that he robbed five banks in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, pleaded guilty on Dec. 3 to robbing Home Federal Bank in La Canada and Fidelity Federal Bank in Simi Valley.
