MISSION VIEJO : Park Meetings Will Be Held Outdoors
- Share via
Two consulting firms will hold outdoor public meetings today to give residents a say in how two park sites should be built.
Officials of the Heimberger/Hirsch company will meet with the community at the proposed 16-acre Alicia Park site on Alicia Parkway and Via Linda at 9 a.m. At 1 p.m., there will be a meeting at Flamenco Park near Tobarra and Anaya streets that will be run by the Keith Co.
“We don’t want to put something in there that residents . . . may not want,” said Kelley Doyle, city parks and recreation director. “These parks are for the community.”
The consultants were hired by the city to prepare plans to develop the parks. They will report on the meetings to the Parks and Recreation Commission at City Hall on Feb. 21.
