Roscoe Lee Browne, veteran screen and television actor, will present “All the World’s a Stage,” the first installment of the Public Corporation for the Arts 1991 lecture series at the Center Theater of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.

Browne’s lecture Tuesday will relate the highlights of his rich theatrical career.

His acting debut began as the Soothsayer in “Julius Caesar” in the New York Shakespeare Festival’s inaugural season. Browne later won an Emmy for best actor for his first appearance on “The Cosby Show,” and is a two-time recipient of the NAACP Image Award for best actor.

The PCA, the Long Beach regional arts council, will present a total of five lectures in its series. The series will continue with Armand Deutsch, author of “Bogie and Me,” on March 5. Georgie Anne Geyer, the first American journalist to interview Saddam Hussein in 1973 and author of the award-winning book, “Buying the Night Flight,” will speak on April 2. June Wayne, an artist, writer, designer and filmmaker, follows on April 30. The series will finish May 21 with David Wood, former director of the Norman Rockwell Museum and a friend of the artist.
