Lightner New BIA President

George H. Lightner, owner and president of Lightner Development and Contracting Co. in Rancho Cucamonga, has been installed as president of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California, succeeding Roy Humphreys of Shea Homes in Walnut.

Among the other new officers is Randall Hall of Concordia Development, who was named secretary/treasurer.

New vice presidents are Brian Catalde, Paragon Homes; Robert Henninger, Foothill Properties; Ron Saienni, Ross Co.; Dan Rigney, Rigney Development Co.; Russ Meskell, Meskell & Sons Inc.; Dan Hanson, Directors Mortgage Loan Corp., and Samra Keller, West Venture Development Co.

Lightner is founder and chairman of the Building Industry Coalition for the Homeless, a nonprofit corporation. He is also chairman of the National Assn. of Home Builders National Council on Seniors Housing, and he is a member of the Citizens Housing Task Force in Rancho Cucamonga.

A San Bernardino County builder with 28 years of building experience, Lightner learned the business from his father, a general contractor who built tract homes, schools, theaters, office buildings and citrus packing houses in Southern California.
