Lunker Southland Bass Warming to Occasion
With the warm weather comes reports of increased bass activity at many Southland reservoirs.
Examples: John Vitale’s 13-, 7- and 4-pound bass caught at Los Angeles County’s Lake Castaic; Marty Montgomery’s catch of a 10-pound 6-ounce largemouth at Lake Perris in Riverside County, and Paul Battrow’s five-fish limit totaling 16 1/2 pounds, caught at Ventura County’s Lake Piru.
