Fatal Collision at L.A. Airport

It is amazing to me that our airport system has not come up with a way to eliminate blind spots when controllers are observing aircraft landings and takeoffs. With all the technology we have at our disposal, don’t you think they could have placed strategically located television monitors in areas where vision is limited and had a direct view of the fateful plane on Runway 24 Left? At the very least, it would have assisted the controller in making a call that may have avoided this tragic story.
