5 Women Honored for Valley Contributions
Five women were honored Wednesday for their contributions to help improve the quality of life in the San Fernando Valley at a luncheon sponsored by Friends of Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys.
The “Women of Vision” luncheon at the Universal Hilton Hotel honored actress Mariette Hartley; Irene Kassorla, author of such self-help books as “Go for It”; Sandra Klasky, Ph.D., director of development and alumni affairs at Cal State Northridge; state appellate court Justice Joan Dempsey Klein, and Doris Meyer, director of special projects for Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley.
Funds raised at the luncheon will be used to pay for expansion of the hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
