‘MacGyver’ Helps the Homeless: The action-adventures series “MacGyver” cast 24 homeless people in Vancouver for its next episode. “In preparing to shoot this episode, it became apparent to us that the homeless could benefit from a day’s wages and being involved in portraying themselves,” said executive producer Stephen Downing. In the episode, MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson) goes undercover as a homeless person to solve the murder of a close friend and learns first-hand what it is like to be ostracized from society. The show airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
