ORANGE : Seniors Can Get Free Health Screenings
A public health nurse will provide free, semimonthly health screenings to seniors at the Orange Senior Citizens Community Center.
Karen Haywood, a nurse with the Orange County Eldercare Program, will visit the center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
Among the services provided will be blood-pressure and blood-sugar exams, urinalysis and nutrition assessment and counseling.
Eldercare, a project funded by the state and the county, seeks to provide senior citizens with health screenings and follow-up for suspected health problems, but does not provide treatment.
For more information, contact the center at (714) 538-9633.
