Superstitious? Not us. We have a black cat. Even got blissfully wedded on Friday the 13th, although our ex says the marriage was the worst 10 days she ever spent.
So we’re not exactly in a tizzy about a certain curse that surrounds a certain Shakespeare play. In stage lore, horrible things befall actors who dare utter the play’s title inside a theater.
Instead, they call it the Scottish play.
So why are we beating around the bush?
Because around here they don’t pay us enough to take chances.
Let’s just say that this Shakespeare play features madness, the murder of a king, witches, ghostly visions, deceit, treachery and betrayal.

And this classic Shakespeare work is being presented by the Believers’ Repertory Company at the First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills in West Hollywood, at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $10. For information call (213) 463-6480.
