Woman Badly Injured in Motorcycle Accident
A 37-year-old woman suffered serious head and facial injuries after losing control of her motorcycle and crashing at a street intersection, police reported Monday.
Officers said Karen Tierney of Santa Ana was riding on Main Street near Beach Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. Sunday when the accident occurred. Police said Tierney was making a right turn onto Beach when she lost control of her 1976 Harley Davidson and struck a center divider. The vehicle then struck a van that was eastbound on Beach.
Tierney was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where her condition on Monday was reported as guarded.
