SCREEN GEMS: Is Mick Jagger finally starring in a movie? Since his roles in “Ned Kelly” and “Performance” (more than 20 years ago), the aging rock icon has been considering--and then backing out of--tons of movie roles. But it’s official: Jagger is co-starring in the new Morgan Creek film “Freejack,” now filming in Atlanta. The movie, which also stars Emilio Estevez, Linda Fiorentino and Anthony Hopkins, casts Jagger as a charming but ruthless 21st-Century bounty hunter. The film is expected to be ready for release later this year. . . . Our candidate for hot soundtrack of the month goes to MCA’s “Thelma and Louise.” Due out March 19, the album features Charlie Sexton performing “Badlands” and John Hiatt’s “Tennessee Plates,” Toni Childs doing “House of Hope,” Marianne Faithful doing “Ballad of Lucy Jordan,” B.B. King with “Better Not Look Down,” and “Kick the Stones,” a haunting ballad by newcomer Chris Whitley, whose own album is due out on Columbia Records in late May.
