Arab Protests
In YEMEN’s capital of Sana, protesters threw stones at embassies of members of the anti-Iraq coalition. A shot rang out near the British ambassador’s residence as an estimated 100,000 people took to the streets shouting support for Saddam Hussein and denouncing Arab members of the coalition. . . . About 200 women chanted anti-American slogans and cursed the Gulf War allies outside the U.S. Embassy in Amman, JORDAN. Police in riot gear kept the women away from the embassy and blocked the street to traffic.
