Teen-Ager Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Man
A Sylmar teen-ager has been arrested for the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old San Fernando man apparently killed during a weekend robbery attempt, police said Monday.
Los Angeles Police Detective Woodrow Parks said a 17-year-old male is in a county juvenile detention facility.
Parks said the suspect and a companion, who remains at large, approached a car parked at San Fernando Road and Polk Street about 12:30 a.m. Saturday and demanded money from the three men inside. Passenger Kenneth Howard Pagaduan was shot in the head as the driver, who was not identified, started to pull away, Parks said.
Pagaduan died later at Olive View Medical Center.
