A 29-year-old aspiring actor who spent thousands of dollars on champagne, elegant dinners and limousine rides and then charged the expenses to director Steven Spielberg was sentenced Tuesday to three years in state prison.

David G. Bojorquez, who pleaded guilty to four charges of felony grand theft earlier this month, was sentenced in San Fernando Municipal Court by Judge John P. Farrell. Bojorquez spent several nights on the town last month, eating at restaurants such as La Petit Chateau and La Serre and riding in limousines with friends, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Steven Ipsen.

Bojorquez told restaurant employees and the limousine companies that he worked for Spielberg’s production company, Amblin Entertainment, and that the bill would be paid by the company. Bojorquez, who was on parole for forgery at the time, was originally charged with eight counts of grand theft. Four were dropped as part of a plea bargain.
