Nate Colbert, 44, a former All-Star and minor league coach for the San Diego Padres, pleaded guilty to a federal bank fraud charge as part of a plea bargain. The government will recommend that he spend no more than 14 months in custody, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney William Hayes in San Diego.
