La Mesa police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of stabbing a man, possibly his father, to death in a shed next to the trailer where the two lived.
Heriberto Rath, 19, was arrested and booked Wednesday on suspicion of homicide and taken to San Diego County Jail, a La Mesa police spokeswoman said.
Rath was arrested after police received a call reporting suspicious activity and the presence of a disoriented man at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday in a trailer park on Alvarado Road.
When police arrived, they found Rath in a shed next to the trailer and a man from 40 to 50 years old inside with multiple stab wounds in the chest and stomach. The man is believed to be Rath’s father, officials said.
