Is She or Isn’t She?: Woody Allen denies reports that he was so displeased with Madonna’s work in his latest movie that he left her on the cutting room floor. New York Newsday had reported that Allen chopped the pop singer’s role as a circus performer from “Shadows and Fog” but Allen released a statement saying the report was a total fabrication. “Not a frame of her has been cut nor has that ever been contemplated,” the statement said. “She’s first-rate in the film.”
