ANAHEIM : ReLeaf Group Will Plant 30 Trees Today
ReLeaf Anaheim will sponsor tree plantings today as part of a campaign to improve the look and health of the environment, the organization said.
Volunteers will meet at 832 S. Dickel St. in Anaheim for a demonstration before they begin planting 30 trees in the neighborhood, which is bounded by Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim Boulevard, South Street and Vermont Avenue.
The demonstration will begin at 9 a.m. and tree planting will continue until 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to bring shovels and gloves.
ReLeaf Anaheim is affiliated with California ReLeaf, which hopes to plant 20,000 trees in communities throughout the state by the year 2000.
