THREE-DAY WEEKEND BOX OFFICE : ‘Lambs’ Is Still Roaring

Fox’s “Class Action,” a courtroom drama starring Gene Hackman and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as battling father-daughter lawyers, was the only new title to make the Top Five. Paramount’s “The Perfect Weapon,” featuring martial artist Jeff Speakman, came in sixth with $3.9 million on 1,229 screens, for a per-screen average of $3,201. Warners’ “Guilty by Suspicion,” the Irwin Winkler-directed drama about the Hollywood blacklist, was 10th with $2.3 million on 817 screens, an average of $2,789. “If Looks Could Kill,” starring Richard Grieco as a student who finds himself in James Bond-like intrigue, was 11th with $2.2 million on 838 screens, an average of $2,681.

* France’s action entry “La Femme Nikita” earned $56,890 on four screens, for a strong $14,223 per-screen.
