Newton Bails Out Plato: Singer Wayne Newton put up the $13,000 collateral that allowed actress Dana Plato to make bail after her arrest for allegedly robbing a video store of $160, Newton’s manager said Wednesday. Newton has never met Plato, but wanted to help “because he knows what it is like to have been a child star.”
