Beatty Gets Most Votes in Town Council Race
A La Crescenta market employee emerged as the top vote-getter Tuesday in the election for the Crescenta Valley Town Council.
Charles Beatty, who also is a real estate broker, won first place for a seat on the advisory board with 168 votes--more than double the number of the second-place winner.
Incumbent Margaret Klug will retain her seat, with 74 votes. Bruce Hale, with 33 votes, was reelected as an alternate.
They were the only three who competed in the election covering one of three districts.
The council is an advisory board to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
