Fighting Has No Place in Hockey or Paper

I’m disappointed in your judgment to print the picture of a fight from the Kings’ hockey game on the front page of Sunday’s (March 17) section. Such a picture is unacceptable on any page, but somehow it’s even more offensive at the top of the front page. Worse, it was gratuitous because it in no way illustrated the story of the game.

Hockey is a wonderful game tarnished by fighting. I am disappointed in the lapse of your otherwise enlightened judgment by your unwitting celebration of this disgusting aspect of the game.
