Call for Gates to Resign

I was outraged at the cartoon on the March 18 Commentary page by Oliphant. It depicted four baton-carrying LAPD officers. The captions reads “Here’s the situation . . . You’re black, you’re in L.A. and you just exceeded the speed limit.” It was very offensive and insensitive and should never have been printed. This only adds to the uneasiness that is felt in the community.
