Breast-Feed Flap: NBC’s “Today” show co-host Deborah Norville is making waves in news circles following a photo spread in People magazine that shows her breast-feeding her infant son. Washington Post TV critic Tom Shales called it “gross exploitation of oneself and one’s child all in the name of career advancement.” Media observer Barbara Matusow said in USA Today, “If you’re going to breast-feed in public, don’t expect to be taken seriously as an anchor.” Norville says she’s amused by the issue, adding “motherhood shouldn’t impinge on a woman’s ability to do her job.”
